Hello all you BA Benny's Baseball Card Buffet patrons and welcome to my new spot here in Blogoland, BA Benny's Pack Rip Cafe. This is a place where I will do loose pack breaks of a variety of different cards and hope to entertain you along the way. Today I am serving up a three pack order of 2008 Goudey. I found these in a vending machine outside of a deli near where I was working one day. It was just like any other snack machine except the items were packs of cards at very reasonable prices. The selection varied from 2010 Topps down to 1987 Topps wax packs and a bunch of stuff in between. I will feature other packs I got from the vend-o-pack machine as I got a bunch of different stuff.

All in all I am very happy with these packs. I got 4 Yankees and 2 players for the collection (Palmer and Kiner). The rest are available so shoot me an e-mail if you're interested. There was a nice selection of insert/parallels as well as a good player selection. The only downer for me was no Mets but as we all know, you don't always get your favorite teams.
I will rate these packs a hard hit single up the middle as I got 6 keepers and a decent lot of cards over all. Leave a comment and let me know your rating.
I hope you enjoyed this inaugural edition of BA Benny's Pack Rip Cafe.
Thanks For Reading!
Derek Jeter says... you gotta get a picture of that vending machine!
ReplyDeleteMan, I'd be like a kid standing in front of a candy machine. I give it a single as well. I bought about 50 of those packs in blister packs at Wal-mart. I've got the Kinsler, but I'll take the President Van Buren card off your hands. My youngest collects presidential stuff. I should be sending you those Yankees tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteDone deal Plate, I have a few other presidents I can add too. It is very cool to use the machine, it's like being at card shop annex with all the different choices and the prices are real good too. I have seen 2 of these and suppose it's the same guy.
ReplyDeleteMan, between the mini B&W Howard, Larry Legend, & the SP prez, those were some really solid packs. Don't think you can do much better without pulling a hit/#ed mini parallel. I could use the Hit Parade of Champions Larry Bird if you still have it. I'm collecting that set.
